I was thrilled to photograph Sorsha and Luke’s wedding at The White Heather in Lincolnshire – a wedding venue I’ve photographed at quite a few times and was happy to be given the opportunity again, it’s a fantastic place that I love working at.

It is a joy to photograph fantastic couples in fantastic locations like this and one advantage of The White Heather over other Lincolnshire wedding venues is that it is exclusive for weddings, with it’s own ceremony and reception rooms, and a marquee located at the back of the building, perfect for capturing the emotions of speeches and guests throwing shapes on the dance floor.

I started the day at the bride’s parents house to set the mood for Sorsha’s wedding day.  The bridal preparations are always great fun and I get to photograph fantastic moments as the bridal party laugh and gossip.

Fast forward to the ceremony and Luke could not hide his joy when he saw Sorsha walking down the aisle in her magnificent dress.  The White Heather was a fantastic place to photograph all the moments of Sorsha and Luke’s wedding ceremony and everyone was in a celebratory mood and was having lots of fun.

I enjoy drifting among the guests during these moments to take the best shots and witness the stories unfold as the hours go by.

Autumn weddings are always fantastic weddings to photograph and I made sure to make the most of the venue’s purpose designed grounds during the bride and groom portraits. Sorsha and Luke were lucky to have a sunny day, which always helps to make everyone happy, and it made taking the photographs a pleasure.

As a slight change to the norm, the couple had their ceremony at The White Heather and then the couple and all their guests made their way to a gorgeous country pub for their reception.  The Heneage Arms in the heart of Lincolnshire had a marquee erected at the back for the wedding celebrations.

The guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast and the speakers prepared to deliver their speeches, which were, as always a great part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer.

Once the DJ began the evening entertainment the dance floor was full, it was the perfect end to a perfect day. Sorsha and Luke’s wedding was one of the loveliest weddings I had photographed recently and I wish them all the best.
