Drifa and Richard got married a couple of weeks ago at St Nicholas Church in Grimsby but I started the day at Drifa’s house for the bridal preparations where I was greeted by her lovely Icelandic friends and family.

From there, I went to meet Richard at St Nicholas Church and the weather, which had been threatening rain, managed to hold off until everyone was inside for the ceremony – when it didn’t matter anyway!

Now as a Lincolnshire wedding photographer I get to see plenty of Lincolnshire wedding venues and like to think that I am familiar with most of them.  Well for Drifa and Richard’s wedding this was not the case – I got to shoot inside the Grimsby Town Football Club venue!  Some hardcore football fans would have been very excited about this.  McMenemy’s is a great (and surprisingly large) reception venue with cracking views overlooking the football pitch.

After the moving speeches and the cracking three course meal that I was very generously given, I thought for a change I would take the happy couple to Cleethorpes beach to try a few different shots out there.  Then it was back in time to chill out and mingle with the guests before the first dance.

A lovely day with lovely people that was a privilege to be a part of!  Here are a few of my favourites from the day:
