Amy & Ciaran’s Rustic Lincolnshire Teepee Wedding
When Amy and Ciaran reached out to me about photographing their wedding, I knew instantly it was going to be something special. Their vision for a rustic teepee celebration set against the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside was exactly the kind of authentic, heartfelt wedding I love to capture.
A Perfect Lincolnshire Morning
The day began in Lincoln, where Amy and her bridesmaids were getting ready in a flurry of excitement and laughter. The morning light streaming through the windows was absolutely perfect for capturing those precious pre-ceremony moments – the delicate details of Amy’s dress, the champagne toasts, and those quiet moments of anticipation before she became Mrs. The energy was electric, and you could feel the love and support surrounding Amy as she prepared for the biggest day of her life.
A Village Church Ceremony Full of Heart
The ceremony took place in a charming village church, where generations of Lincolnshire couples have exchanged their vows. There’s something timeless about a traditional church wedding, and Amy and Ciaran’s ceremony was no exception. The couple’s attention to detail was absolutely second to none. Every rustic element had been thoughtfully chosen, from the handcrafted centrepieces to the carefully curated décor that complemented the natural beauty of the teepee setting. You could see their personalities woven into every aspect of the day – it wasn’t just a wedding, it was a true reflection of who they are as a couple.
Portraits Around the Grounds
After the reception drinks, I whisked Amy and Ciaran away for their couple portraits around the stunning grounds. The beauty of this location was that everywhere you turned, there was another perfect backdrop waiting to be captured. We wandered through the fields, with the Lincolnshire countryside stretching out behind them, and used the rustic farm buildings to create some beautifully textured shots.
Amy and Ciaran were completely natural together – no stiff poses needed. I guided them through the different spots around the manor, but mostly just let them be themselves. We captured intimate moments by old wooden fences, romantic shots with the teepee glowing in the background, and some fun, candid frames as they walked hand-in-hand through the estate. The cattle grazing nearby added that authentic countryside charm that made their photos uniquely theirs. These portrait sessions are always my favourite part of the day – it’s a chance for the couple to take a breath, enjoy each other’s company, and create images they’ll treasure forever.
An Evening of Pure Celebration
As the sun set, the teepee transformed into a magical space filled with twinkling lights, laughter, and dancing. The relaxed, festival-style atmosphere meant guests could truly let their hair down and celebrate. There’s something wonderfully freeing about a teepee wedding – it combines elegance with that laid-back, fun vibe that gets everyone on the dance floor.
Watching Amy and Ciaran’s first dance under the canvas, surrounded by their closest family and friends, was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The love between them was palpable, and it was an absolute honour to document their story.
