A Washingborough Hall Wedding – Sarah & Richard

Wedding Photography At Washingborough Hall

I don’t photograph weddings at Washingborough Hall as often as I like – I mean don’t get me wrong, I do quite a few – but it’s such a beautiful wedding venue, I could shoot there every weekend!

Washingborough Hall Hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed, 4-star Georgian Manor House hotel located on the outskirts of Lincoln. Set in three acres of mature gardens and woodland, in the pretty heart of Washingborough village- which is just over 2 miles east of the centre of the historic City of Lincoln.

Washingborough Hall an award-winning wedding venue in Lincolnshire, it is also a treasured family home.  Set within beautiful secluded grounds with its own private entrance to the village church, Washingborough Hall could be a perfect wedding venue in Lincolnshire for the weekend or just the day.  Find out more HERE.

Bridal Preparations at Washingborough Hall Hotel

Sarah was in full “getting her make up done” zone when I arrived, and I was greeted by friendly smiling faces from her bridesmaids who were also her make-up artists!

This Lincoln wedding venue is full of quirky rooms and spaces for guests to mingle so I took advantage of this by capturing some relaxed moments of the groom, groomsmen and weddings guest chatting an having a couple of pre-wedding drinks.

Unique Wedding Ceremony at Washingborough Hall

One very special feature about Washingborough Hall is that it has its very own church on the grounds of the hall!  This makes it a no-brainer for couples who want the religious ceremony part of their day – they walk out of the hotel, turn right and arrive in the small yard, and as you can see from the wedding photos of the church ceremony below, its a well sized church!

The ‘informalities’ continued into the afternoon, as the guests drank, ate canapes and played garden games, I took the opportunity to take some  portraits of the happy couple.

It was then time for the speeches which of course provided plenty of laughs!
