Weddings At The Brackenborough Hotel
The Brackenborough Hotel is one of my local stomping grounds and I always love being asked to photograph a wedding there. Set on the peaceful outskirts of Louth, it’s a venue I know really well and it never disappoints.
Hannah and her bridal party got ready in one of the hotel’s rooms – it was a bright, happy morning with the kind of relaxed energy that sets a great tone for the day. Dan and the groomsmen were equally chilled, enjoying breakfast nearby as guests began to arrive.
The ceremony was held in a bright, airy room that felt personal and intimate. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Hannah and Dan exchanged their vows – it was one of those genuinely lovely moments that reminds you why you do this job. Afterwards everyone spilled out onto the lawns for drinks and lawn games, which in the summer sunshine was just perfect.
As a Louth wedding photographer I find The Brackenborough Hotel a brilliant location to work. The soft summer light, the stone architecture, the generous outdoor spaces – it all makes for naturally beautiful photographs. We had plenty of time for couple portraits in the gardens and plenty of opportunities for candid moments throughout the day, which is always how Hannah and Dan wanted it – natural and relaxed rather than posed.
Dinner was a warm, sociable affair – long tables, great food, and plenty of heartfelt toasts. As the evening came in, the space transformed beautifully for the reception. The first dance was followed by a packed dance floor and the celebrations went well into the night.
Hannah and Dan were a joy to photograph. Warm, fun, and completely at ease throughout the day – it really showed in the images. If you’re considering The Brackenborough Hotel for your wedding, I’d highly recommend it. It offers everything you’d want from a Lincolnshire country house wedding venue – beautiful grounds, flexible spaces, on-site accommodation, and a team who really know what they’re doing.
